Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Waikato King Country. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Help individuals navigate public transportation, employment, finances, and other activities that promote independence.
  • Work collaboratively with the individual's support network to develop and implement personalized plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A positive attitude and a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts.
  • Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
  • In possession of a Full NZ driver's license.
