The New Zealand Customs Service is looking for a skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join its Trade Programme team. As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to the team, including programme governance, support planning, and managing documentation and artifacts.

About the Role

This role involves working closely with the Trade Programme team to develop and maintain reports, budget records, project plans, risk and issue registers, databases, and other usual support tools and documentation. You will also be responsible for maintaining programme/project schedules, gathering and processing project data, and monitoring and reporting progress.

  • Building and maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders to better understand their needs and business drivers.
  • Organising governance meetings, completing meeting minutes and following up on or completing agreed actions.
  • Managing interaction with vendors regarding information requirements.
  • Drafting communications material and maintaining the programme/project intranet pages.
  • Providing coordination support tasks across the programme/projects.

This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, including waterfall and agile, and experience in providing project or programme coordination services to a manager and/or team.
