Purpose and Impact

As a Principal Analyst, you'll contribute to key Government priorities, working across a broad work program that includes providing strategic advice on issues impacting the wellbeing of older New Zealanders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic projects and policy initiatives, providing expert advice to Ministers and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support the development of less experienced analysts, helping them grow in their careers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Ministry to achieve shared goals.

About You:
We're looking for someone with a strong track record in policy advice, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, and leadership ability. You'll be able to coach and develop others, and have a commitment to Maori and to building competencies and capabilities in Te Tiriti analysis and applying Maori frameworks.
