About the Role:
Purpose and Scope:
As a Clinical Nurse Educator within our palliative care team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering educational programs, providing clinical support, and creating resources tailored to the unique needs of our patients. Your expertise will guide teams in implementing evidence-based practices, enhancing patient outcomes, and promoting awareness of palliative care principles through community engagement and workshops.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver educational programs, addressing the specific needs of our multidisciplinary team
• Provide guidance and mentorship to nurses, ensuring best practices in palliative care delivery
• Create educational materials and resources, such as videos, presentations, and written guides, tailored to our patients' diverse needs
• Collaborate with teams to implement evidence-based practices, driving quality improvement and enhanced patient outcomes
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote awareness and understanding of palliative care principles, engaging external stakeholders and communities

About You:
We seek an NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC, possessing advanced clinical skills in palliative care, oncology, or a similar setting. Experience in clinical education or staff development is preferred, but not mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development and passion for improving palliative care delivery in diverse settings.
