Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for conservation and ecological restoration to manage natural and developed open space in and around the Otakaro-Avon River Corridor, Southshore, Brooklands, and Te Pataka o Rakaihautu-Banks Peninsula. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your interests and experience in indigenous biodiversity and the natural environment to help maintain and enhance the values of previously Red-Zoned properties.

  • Maintain and improve Christchurch City's Residential Red Zone Parks
  • Deliver a wide range of maintenance, upkeep, and improvements
  • Work collaboratively with small teams and have a high regard for health and safety
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A high level of fitness for outdoor work
  • Experience in controlling animal and plant pests
  • Knowledge in botany or horticulture
  • Experience with farm maintenance, including machinery operation and tool use
