Kokako Lodge is an 82-bed facility located in the Hunua Ranges Regional Park, offering a range of outdoor activities including high ropes, kayaking, and archery. We are seeking a full-time Outdoor Education Lead Instructor / Facilities to join our team.

As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for organizing and leading outdoor activities, teaching environmental education, facilitating team-building exercises, and ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. You will also supervise a team of up to 20 other instructors and be responsible for their safety training and assessment.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in outdoor education, environmental education, and team-building. You should also possess knowledge of outdoor safety protocols and emergency procedures, as well as certifications in first aid and CPR. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about nature, conservation, and environmental stewardship. If you have experience working with children and youth, and can assist with the Safety Management Plan, we would love to hear from you.

This is a mid-senior level, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our guests. If you are a motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about outdoor education, we encourage you to apply.
