**About the Role**

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Medical Officer/Consultant Histopathologist to join our growing team in the Anatomical Pathology Department at Waikato Hospital. As an anatomical pathologist, you will have autonomy, mastery, and purpose to deliver your mahi and contribute to the broader objectives of our busy laboratory.

The role is a permanent full-time position, and the successful candidate will be based in Hamilton at Waikato hospital, working in partnership within a team of 11 anatomical pathologists and 2 registrars.

**Responsibilities**

  • Work collaboratively with clinicians from across the hospital and region to deliver anatomical pathology services
  • Participate in the Duty Pathologist Roster
  • Deliver high-quality and timely service

**Requirements**

  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or an equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality and timely service
