Port of Auckland is seeking a proactive Occupational Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our HSW team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the utmost safety and wellness of our frontline workers and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring workplace conditions and frontline workers' safety directly within the operational environment.
  2. Leading and/or contributing to HSW work programmes as per the HSW strategic grid and rollout/deliver within agreed set timeframes.
  3. Providing advice, support and assistance to resolve HSW-related issues, problems and events identified by stakeholders within agreed timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant H&S qualification Level 4 or higher.
  • Strong prioritization skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5 years' experience or worked in a high-risk industry (e.g. manufacturing, construction, ports and/or airport).
  • Familiarity with JSA / SWMS / PTW / Risk Management.
