Penny Homes is a successful award-winning residential & commercial developer based in Taupo undertaking a variety of construction projects through the Taupo, Waikato, BOP, and Auckland regions. Position Overview: We're seeking a Health & Safety Advisor ideally coming from a construction background to oversee construction activities within Penny's Taupo & Bay of Plenty operations along with support to the existing Health & Safety Manager based in Auckland.

This important role has a strong focus on the administrative tasks associated with managing safety-related reports and admin and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with the H&S Manager along with the Construction Manager, Project Management team, and subcontractors.

This role will require occasional day trips to sites including Taupo, Waikato, and the BOP and also travel (fly) to Auckland once monthly for an overnight 2-day trip.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Incident reporting and investigations.
  • Support safety training programs.
  • Monitor safety equipment and supplies.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits.
  • Communicate safety information to employees.
Requirements:
  • HSE Qualification
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Solid computer proficiency.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Passion for health and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to various personalities and get buy-in.
  • Full driver's license with the ability to travel when required.
Hours - Mon - Fri (40 hours per week)
