**Project Overview**
The New Zealand Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), is partnering with the Solomon Islands Government (SIG) to support the establishment of the Bina Harbour Tuna Processing Plant (BHTPP).
This project aims to establish area governance arrangements to ensure equitable benefits to communities and individuals who will host the project on their customary lands, seas, and waters.
- Implement BRAG contracted services according to the Grant Funding Arrangement, design document, and costed workplans.
- Develop and manage the annual costed workplan for BRAG activities, ensuring activities are planned, coordinated, reviewed, and revised in accordance with allocated funding, the BRAG design document, and BHPO Implementation Plan.
- Oversee the development and sustenance of governance structures, including trust entities and commercial entities for landowners, and manage land and water access agreements.
This project requires strong project coordination skills, experience in managing complex multi-stakeholder projects, and a deep understanding of local arrangements and cultural awareness. The appointee will be expected to adhere to the professional standards of a senior technical advisor and maintain integrity, objectivity, and political neutrality during the assignment.
