About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Strategic Engagement Lead. In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan, lead and deliver a responsive and innovative engagement approach for school-leaver student recruitment across the wider Wellington region.

As a key member of our Future Students Team, you will contribute significantly to the University of Waikato by promoting our university as a compelling option for tertiary study for students in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing the University's overall student recruitment strategy for the Wellington region
  • Regularly engaging and interacting with secondary school students to encourage them to study at university and consider applying and enrolling at the University of Waikato
  • Developing and sustaining strong relationships with Career Advisors in local secondary schools and engaging with various leaders and stakeholders across schools and their communities
  • Analysing data as well as formal and informal feedback to sustain and amplify engagement and recruitment opportunities
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with other members of the Future Students Team and other teams from across the university
About You

You will have the ability to build effective relationships with prospective students and their parents and whānau, as well as Career Advisors and other school staff.

A relevant Bachelor's Degree, a full clean Driver's License, and the ability to demonstrate relevant experience in delivering successful student recruitment strategies is essential for this role.
