The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Fitter to join our Central region substations team. As an Electrical Fitter at North Power Nz, you'll be responsible for constructing and maintaining electrical equipment to customer requirements in High Voltage substation and Power station environments.

Your Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • High-voltage switchgear installation and maintenance
  • Power transformer maintenance and commissioning
  • Substation maintenance and upgrades
  • Building new renewable electricity generation stations

About You
You'll either be a qualified Electrical Fitter or have an electrical registration with a strong background in the industrial or commercial electricity sector, looking to become an Electrical Fitter. To be successful in this role, you will be advantageous if you have some or all the following:

  • Registered electrician with a current practicing licence
  • New Zealand driver's licence
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage equipment and safe work practices
  • Team player with a commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
