Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our stores. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Develop and lead a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly, welcoming, and helpful service to our customers, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Operations: Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational, managing stock levels, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with local community groups, supporting our Store Manager in the delivery of the Co-Op community plan and contributing to initiatives that benefit our customers and members.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with experience in developing and implementing effective strategies to drive business results.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, and adapt to changing business needs.
