**About Liger Leadership Academy**
Liger Leadership Academy is a dynamic independent secondary school serving 54 students in Years 9-12. We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to facilitate real-world, project-based learning experiences for our students.
**Job Overview**
This role involves teaching in both Liger's Exploration and Essentials (English) programs, encouraging students to think critically, solve real-world problems, and explore beyond the traditional classroom.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and deliver real-world, project-based learning experiences.
- Design curriculum and provide personalized learning support.
- Develop and align curriculum with the NZ Curriculum/NCEA.
- Facilitate learning with a focus on inquiry, innovation, and leadership.
**Teaching & Facilitation:
Year 9-11 Communications: 4 contact hours/week
Year 12 Communications: 3 contact hours/week + 1 independent study hour
Liger Exploration: 7 contact hours/week
Advisory Role: 1 hour/week
Duties: 1 morning and 1 lunch duty/week
After-school extension activity: each term
**What We're Looking For:**
- Registered NZ teacher (or eligible for registration).
- Experience in senior English/NCEA preferred.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
