We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Partner to join our team at Meadowbank in Auckland. As a Care Partner, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents living with dementia.

About the Role

You will work closely with residents and their families/whānau, supporting their personal needs and connecting them with activities that foster enrichment, connection and dignity. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

  • Supporting residents in engaging in activities that have meaning to them.
  • Supporting and encouraging residents using a strength-based approach.
  • Engaging with residents in all aspects of their life, spanning from assistance with personal cares to arranging an outing or supporting activities to enhance quality of life for the resident.
  • Building relationships with residents, families/whānau and other team members to support an individualised approach to each resident's care plan.
Your Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a strong background in caregiving and a passion for delivering person-centred care to people living with dementia. You will require excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families and other healthcare professionals.

  • A passion to support and enable people living with dementia to promote and maintain skills and abilities.
  • Great people skills and empathy for working with people living with dementia and their families.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and open-minded in your approach to supporting residents, whilst still adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Flexible multitasking and time management skills.
