The Programming/Activity Assistant is a crucial member of our team at Benchmark Senior Living, responsible for creating and executing programs that enhance the lives of our residents.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive activity program that addresses the diverse needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Activity Director to plan and lead activities that stimulate social interaction, creativity, and personal growth.
  • Facilitate a supportive environment that encourages residents to engage in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation, interests, and abilities to inform activity planning.
  • Effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff to ensure seamless transitions and optimal care.
  • Monitor residents' conditions and behavior, reporting any concerns or changes to the Harbor Care Director.
Core Requirements
  • Holds a high school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues.
  • Possesses training and knowledge in recreational activities, including those suitable for seniors with dementia.
  • Displays exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective collaboration with residents, families, and staff.
  • Maintains a commitment to confidentiality, respect for residents' autonomy, and a patient-centered approach.
