The Faculty of Science at the University of Auckland is seeking a talented Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support for the NZ-China Collaborative Biomedical Research Programme.

This programme aims to bring together Chinese and New Zealand experts across various scientific disciplines to address unmet needs for effective therapies in cancer, metabolic disease, infectious disease, neurologic disease, and regenerative medicine.

As the Administrative Coordinator, you will work closely with the Director(s) and research leads within the programme, coordinating activities and tasks, and assisting with supporting researchers associated with the programme.

You will also be responsible for coordinating events related to the programme, maintaining the online presence and communications, and overseeing financial records and reporting.

We are looking for someone with a relevant tertiary qualification and experience working in a research environment or relevant work experience in a tertiary research environment.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Fluency in verbal and written Mandarin
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills
  • Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative and self-manage workloads
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
