About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact by cultivating meaningful relationships with high-net-worth donors and legacy pledgers, ensuring sustainable funding for our humanitarian work across Aotearoa and beyond.

As Donor Engagement Director, you will lead the strategy and implementation of our major gifts and legacies programmes, driving growth and success through effective donor stewardship and relationship management.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing strategies to grow major gifts and legacy income, leveraging your expertise in donor stewardship and relationship management.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, philanthropists, and legacy donors, fostering a culture of excellence in donor engagement.
  • Leading and inspiring a high-performing fundraising team, setting clear objectives and driving results that enhance long-term commitment.
  • Overseeing donor stewardship, ensuring exceptional supporter experiences that foster lasting relationships.
  • Collaborating across teams to integrate fundraising efforts with organisational goals, driving collective impact.
