We are seeking a seasoned education professional to fill the role of Pou Arataki at Te Kāpehu Whetū. The successful candidate will possess extensive teaching experience, preferably with a background in school management.

The ideal applicant will have operational oversight of staff and kura programmes, ensuring delivery of high-quality and focused teaching. They will be responsible for supervising and supporting staff, implementing curriculum and policies, managing programmes of work, while ensuring the health and well-being of our students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing staff and programmes to deliver quality education
  • Implementing curriculum and policies to support student success
  • Coordinating programmes of work to ensure effective learning outcomes
  • Fostering a healthy and supportive learning environment

A strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga O Aotearoa is essential, as is excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Fluency in Te Reo Māori is also required.
