Job Description
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced communications professional to lead strategic communications and provide thought leadership at a senior level. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in communications, media, and engagement, as well as a strong understanding of Te Ao Maori, Te Reo Maori, and tikanga Maori.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead strategic communications and provide thought leadership at a senior level.
- Develop and implement media, engagement, and storytelling strategies that effectively communicate Te Arawhiti's mahi.
- Cultivate relationships with iwi, hapu, and whanau Maori to ensure culturally responsive communication.
- Mentor and support communications professionals within the Ministry of Justice's Communication team.
