About the Job
We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Heritage and Visitor Centre Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Heritage and Visitors, Community/Visitor Centre and Local Bodies teams. The successful candidate will provide training, supervision, and support to team members, and work closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to maximize conservation initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective work plans to achieve project goals
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively
* Ensure a high operating standard by rangers through regular monitoring and feedback
* Develop and implement training programmes to enhance team performance
* Recruit and induct new team members to maintain a high-performing team

Requirements
* Proven leadership experience with a track record of success
* Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan, monitor, and report on work delivery
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage relationships effectively
* A strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace
* Computer savvy, with proficiency in Word, Excel, Teams, and cloud-based systems
* A valid NZ driver's license
