Conservation Manager

This position is focused on supporting, leading, and delivering regional heritage projects across New Zealand. As a National Heritage Project Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the country's cultural heritage landscape.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring national project reporting for the National Cultural Heritage Fund meets required standards.
- Leading the development and implementation of regional heritage projects.
- Collaborating with regional teams to deliver project outcomes.
- Maintaining effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Managing project budgets, resources, and timelines.
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably with a focus on heritage conservation.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of heritage conservation principles and policies.
- Experience in budget management, reporting, and project governance.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project management tools.
- A commitment to DOC's mission and values, including respect for tikanga and te reo Māori.
