About the Role

This position is focused on supporting, leading, and delivering regional heritage projects across New Zealand. As a National Heritage Project Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the country's cultural heritage landscape.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring national project reporting for the National Cultural Heritage Fund meets required standards.
  • Leading the development and implementation of regional heritage projects.
  • Collaborating with regional teams to deliver project outcomes.
  • Maintaining effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Managing project budgets, resources, and timelines.

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably with a focus on heritage conservation.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of heritage conservation principles and policies.
  • Experience in budget management, reporting, and project governance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project management tools.
  • A commitment to DOC's mission and values, including respect for tikanga and te reo Māori.
