Job Description
As the Proposals Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting our Bids & Proposals Manager in managing and creating informal proposals, credentials documents, competitive bids, and presentations for our legal teams. You will have access to industry-leading content and information, advising on best practices and coordinating our approach.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting the Bid & Proposals Manager on formal / complex bids and tenders, attending meetings / workshops and owning and delivering assigned parts of the process and document.
• Working with lawyers on delivering informal proposals - evaluating the opportunity, developing a win strategy, liaising with the finance team on pricing, managing the document and relevant stakeholders.
• Supporting lawyers with tailored / bespoke credential documents.
• Involvement in improving pursuit management (including panel timelines), gathering market intelligence / research.
• CRM Pipeline management, helping the firm to understand which opportunities are on the horizon and to actively pursue those opportunities before the bid arrives.
• Managing the asset bank of boilerplate text, fee earner CVs, testimonials, awards etc., ensuring the firm has the best and most up-to-date information.
• Collecting and recording experience from across the firm.
• Maintaining our bids 'FAQ bible', consulting with stakeholders in the business to ensure answers are accurate and up to date and managing the related audit trail.
• Assisting the Bid & Proposals Manager with bid reporting to demonstrate the team's contribution to the firm strategy, which can be communicated to key stakeholders across the business.

Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience of working in a similar bids & proposals role, ideally in a legal or other professional services environment. Knowledge of best practices in bidding, including bid processes, evaluation of opportunities, developing win strategies, how to communicate a message persuasively, commercials (including pricing and risk) and debriefing. Exceptional time and project management, the ability to prioritise workloads and an excellent eye for detail. Ability to work independently and when required to take a lead on managing a bid from start to finish. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. The ability to influence and communicate effectively with (often senior) stakeholders. A working knowledge of all MS packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience of Adobe InDesign is an advantage but not essential.
