Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Counsellor for a fulfilling opportunity at our Victoria Street branch in Hamilton. This role involves delivering short-term interventions, working on a broad range of mental health matters, including couples counselling, addiction, trauma, child and adolescent counselling, and dealing with grief.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver focused interventions to help clients develop coping mechanisms for work and life.
  • Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption.
  • Provide counselling services via in-person, video, and telehealth.
  • Deliver training to customer employees.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong sense of empathy and sensitivity towards others.
  • Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB or NZCCAT.
  • Tertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualification.
  • Desirable experience in psychological first aid, couples counselling, and working with children and teenagers.
