About the Role

Our team of Pre-Treatment Specialists are the wizards of our RT department; they use their specialised planning knowledge to create plans that push the impossible and are a constant source of support and stability for our dedicated team of Radiation Therapists.

This is a great leadership opportunity for the right candidate and we are searching for that special RT who is looking to join us and make this exciting step in their career.

  • Ability to independently plan a wide range of complex treatment techniques including SABR and SRT treatments.
  • Maintain and develop clinical guidelines for various techniques in alignment with site-specific working groups.
  • Provide professional, clinical supervision and support to all RTs and students rostered in pre-treatment.
  • Maintain a high level of patient care involving communication and collaboration with the patient, whanau, and other health professionals.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A wide range of advanced radiation therapy planning knowledge gathered over at least three years practicing as a radiation therapist.
  • An interest in brachytherapy or developing brachytherapy planning and treatment skills.
  • Proven leadership, self-awareness, and maturity when dealing with complex situations, specifically when planning radiation therapy techniques.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence and ability to connect and communicate knowledge with people.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and solve problems independently.
