About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Plant Equipment Operator to join our team at our Green Island site in Dunedin. In this role, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles and/or earthmoving equipment to efficiently manage waste disposal.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Control the placement of waste according to company requirements and regulations.
  • Excavate, load, and transport soil, gravel, and other materials as needed.
  • Inform and assist drivers and members of the public on proper waste dumping procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Class 4 Licenses (NZ)
  • WTRF Endorsements (wheels/tracks/rollers)
  • Relevant experience in operating earthmoving equipment, such as compactors, excavators, dump trucks, and bulldozers.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety protocols.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent work ethic and time management skills.
