Totara Hospice has been a cornerstone of specialist palliative care for South and South-East Auckland since 1981. We serve one of New Zealand's most diverse communities, providing holistic, multidisciplinary care to over 1,100 patients and their whanau each year.

The Role
As our Therapies Assistant, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary Allied Health team to provide exceptional organisational and administrative support. This includes coordinating phone calls, appointments, and paperwork, as well as facilitating therapy sessions and programmes.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level organisational co-ordination and support to the Allied Health team
- Work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Social Workers to deliver comprehensive care services
- Under the direction of Social Workers, provide support and care to patients and whanau through contact over the phone and in person
- Manage equipment, including ordering, tracking, and distribution to patients
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in human services, social science, or a related field (desired)
- Experience working alongside clinical health professionals and patient-facing care
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Excel, and patient management software
- Cultural awareness and respect for our diverse community
