The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Advocate to join our team in Nelson. This role will involve working closely with our clients to identify and address their mental health needs, and developing tailored support plans to promote their recovery and well-being. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of mental health principles, and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and addressing mental health needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized support plans
  • Providing advocacy and support to clients and their families
  • Collaborating with internal and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in mental health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A full driver's license and computer skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
