Our Work:

The Accident Compensation Policy team works closely with Ministers and senior public service officials to advise on the Accident Compensation Scheme, including broader scheme direction and performance, legislation, and regulations.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Advisor to join our team, where you will apply your policy expertise to deliver results for New Zealand by working on complex and high-profile government policy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead complex policy projects within central government.
  2. Develop and implement effective policy solutions, considering the interests of various stakeholders and upholding the Crown's obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  3. Build strong stakeholder relationships using influencing and engagement skills.
  4. Collaborate with ACC and the Treasury to inform policy decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading complex policy projects within central government.
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in public policy and partnership with Māori.
  • Wide-ranging knowledge of policy development disciplines and processes.
