About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced public sector legal specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of employment and industrial relations matters within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on employment and industrial relations matters
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and achieve positive outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including employees, unions, and other external parties

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in public sector legal work, preferably in employment law
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Employment Relations Act, the Public Service Act, and the Official Information Act
  • Solid understanding of the principles of good governance and risk management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders

What We Offer

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, ranging from $77,549 to $109,481 per annum, and will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
