Surveillance Systems Technician

We are seeking a Surveillance Systems Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, innovation, and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic operational environment, deploying covert surveillance devices to listen to, track, or observe activity. They will require industry experience and skills in one or more of the following fields:

  • Radio and RF Systems
  • TCP/IP
  • Computer Networking
  • Embedded systems
  • Electronics and electrical
  • Use of hand, power, and workshop tools
  • Area, Ground, and Site appreciation and installation

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support for operations teams
  • Conducting site installations and ensuring deployment and health & safety risks are identified and mitigated
  • Maintaining a high level of quality and service, with an emphasis on continuous improvement
  • Modeling positive personal behaviours aligned with Our Business, Police core values, and the PHPF

Requirements:

  • This position holds the office of Constable and requires attendance to the Royal New Zealand Police College 20-week Recruit Course upon successful selection to the role
  • This position requires the applicant to have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a Government Top Secret Security Clearance

This role is set at Individual Contributor level, which means your key purpose is to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business.
