Our Electron rocket has provided reliable access to orbit since 2018, becoming one of the most frequently launched rockets in the world.
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Assembly Technician - Neutron to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing development, qualification, and flight article hardware of the Neutron Launch Vehicle.
This includes first-article builds where component designs and methods of manufacture are not yet solidified. You will need to think critically and suggest improvement ideas to Development and Manufacturing Engineers.
Responsibilities- Precision mechanical assembly
- Operation of mechanical, electrical, and automated test equipment
- Comfortable working to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen service
- Have a working understanding of standard industry ESD
- Good level of eyesight and ability to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standard
- Able to manufacture components to a high workmanship standard at a good pace
- Trade qualified in relevant industry
- Demonstrate 4+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong track record in producing and testing R&D components
- Hands-on technical experience problem-solving mechanical/electro-mechanical systems
