About the Role
Fellowship - Gastroenterology is a one-year, fixed-term position at Dunedin Hospital/University of Otago. The role involves working closely with Clinical Director, Consultant Physicians, Registrar, Clinical Nurse specialists, and Nurse Practitioner to ensure an efficient and high-quality service. As a Fellow, you will be expected to work under supervision as needed, conduct research, provide in- and outpatient specialist services, participate in rural clinics, and perform endoscopy procedures.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, participating in education and training programs, and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and policies. You will also have opportunities to engage in research and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must be in your last 6 months of Gastroenterology advanced training. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate decision-making and priority-setting abilities in a clinical environment, and have enthusiasm for teaching and passing on knowledge to junior members of staff and university students.
