The Role

The Head of Project Operations, APAC is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing project delivery and clinical operations across the Asia-Pacific region.This role ensures the successful delivery of clinical trials by leading and developing high-performing teams, allocating resources effectively, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.The position is critical in shaping the strategic direction of project operations while ensuring operational excellence and international competitiveness.

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and manage project management and clinical operations staff.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure clinical studies are implemented with high quality, within budget, and on time.
  • Financial & Contract Management: Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Custoemr Focus & Business Development: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including sponsors, hospitals, and regulatory bodies.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader with:

  • Bachelor's degree in a medical, science, or healthcare-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of clinical research experience within a pharmaceutical company or CRO.
  • Proven leadership experience (8+ years) managing teams in clinical project management.
  • Strong knowledge of ICH/GCP and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multi-phase clinical trials across diverse therapeutic areas.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
