Community Support Worker

This Community Support Worker - Paeroa role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a rural setting, fostering positive changes within our community. You will engage directly with whānau, conduct initial safety checks and assessments, and participate in the planning of interventions to support tamariki and rangatahi.
About the JobIn this role, you will have the privilege of working closely with various cultural groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds, advocating on behalf of tamariki and rangatahi to ensure they receive the support and resources needed to thrive.
- Collaborating with community stakeholders, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies.
- Empowering whānau to enhance their capacity for caring for tamariki and rangatahi.
You will need to possess excellent communication skills, resilience, problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and a genuine dedication to working alongside whānau. A recognized social work qualification, full or Provisionally registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board, and proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office Suite are also required.
