We are seeking an experienced Care Professional to join our team at Kereru Service. In this role, you will be working closely with Hudson, a young man who requires 24-hour support in his daily life.

Hudson attends school and enjoys various activities, including swimming, bike rides, and car shows. As his Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to develop a strong relationship with him, encouraging independence and participation in the community.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be energetic and empathetic, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in their role. You will also be required to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless support for Hudson.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24-hour support to Hudson, including assistance with daily routines, personal care, and household tasks.
  • Encourage Hudson's independence and participation in the community through engagement in various activities.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with Hudson, built on trust, respect, and open communication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective support for Hudson, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge as a Care Professional.
