The Field Officer will play a critical role in enhancing the biodiversity within Whakaraupo and monitoring conservation outcomes associated with Te Hapu o Ngati Wheke's goals and aspirations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the preservation of our natural environment and enrich the lives of current and future generations of Te Hapu o Ngati Wheke Whanui.
**Responsibilities and Requirements:**
- Safe operation of equipment
- Previous experience with conservation work
- Proven ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
- An openness to embrace the values and aspirations of Ngai Tahuwhanui and interest to grow your cultural understanding in te ao Maori
**Company Overview:**
Te Hapu o Ngati Wheke Inc (THoNW; the Runanga) is the modern-day representative structure of Ngati Wheke and represents upwards of 8,000 whanau members. The Runanga is one of the 18 Papatipu Runanga that make up Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu, the iwi authority representing Ngai Tahu whanui.
