Job Description
The Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) is seeking qualified Mental Health Support Workers to join our Casual Pool. As part of the MHAIDS Operations Centre, you will work in various settings, including inpatient units and community facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to individuals with mental health issues and addictions
  • Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Level 4 National Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions Support Work (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience working within the area of mental health, preferably in an inpatient setting
  • A current work visa or the legal right to work in New Zealand
  • An ability to work effectively with a team using a multi-disciplinary approach
  • A full and clean driver's license
  • Consent to a Police Vetting Check under the Vulnerable Children's Act 2014
