About the Role: Principal Advisor, Contracts is a leadership position responsible for designing, managing, and evaluating a portfolio of contracts that recruit, retain, and train New Zealand's education workforce. This role involves collaborating with top-tier NGOs and providers to drive transformative initiatives in talent supply, growth, and retention.

Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $118,371 - $143,760 per annum, plus 3% KiwiSaver. Flexible working arrangements, extra leave, employee network groups, development opportunities, and wellness initiatives are also offered.

Key Responsibilities: As a strategic thinker and relationship builder, you will influence senior stakeholders internally and externally, drive performance, and be diligent with detail. You will have responsibility for a diverse portfolio of critical contracts that support workforce development initiatives. To succeed in this role, you will need

  • a minimum of 5 years' experience in a principal advisory role with experience in managing contract lifecycles
  • experience in successfully building and managing strategic supplier relationships
  • experience working in a contract management role in a large and/or complex organisation
  • experience working in a commercial environment and a sound understanding of the Government rules of sourcing and the machinery of Government
  • familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate risk
