Key Responsibilities:
Develop cryogenic-compatible ICs for quantum computing and quantum sensing applications, utilising expertise in electrical engineering and materials science.
Optimise IC performance at ultra-low temperatures, employing advanced techniques for noise reduction, power efficiency, and signal integrity.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate ICs into quantum hardware platforms, ensuring seamless operation in cryogenic environments.
Conduct experimental tests and simulations to validate the performance of cryogenic IC designs, applying knowledge of semiconductor materials and device physics.
Contribute to research publications and patent filings to protect innovations and showcase technical advancements, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Cultivate relationships with industry stakeholders, academic institutions, and consortia to advance the state-of-the-art in cryogenic IC technologies, promoting collaborative research and development.
Requirements:
PhD in Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on cryogenic systems, semiconductor materials, or integrated circuits.
2-5 years of experience in designing, testing, and characterising analog/mixed-signal ICs (ADC, DAC, AFE etc).
Familiarity with chip-level modelling, integration, and verification, as well as hands-on experience with PCB design and high-performance test equipment.
Proficiency in system-level modeling and simulation using MATLAB and Python, with a strong understanding of cryogenic IC performance and its associated challenges.
Proven ability to design, develop, and optimise analog/mixed-signal ICs for low-temperature applications, with a strong publication track record in relevant technical fields.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with external partners, with excellent communication skills for presenting research findings.
