About the Role

We are seeking a self-motivated and driven Sales Manager to take charge of the North Island region (Waikato to Wellington).

You will lead a team of 5 customer-focused Account Managers, ensuring sales strategies are executed, targets are met or exceeded, and steady growth / increased market share is achieved.

A lot of your time will be spent leading, coaching and developing your sales team, ensuring a culture of sales success, high performance, and continuous improvement is delivered.

You will be involved in developing the sales plan for your territory and be accountable for the successful delivery of the plan, along with continuous monitoring of sales performance, management of sales budgets, margins, and bringing things back on track swiftly if required.

You have a passion for sales and customer service delivery and will relish the opportunity to get to know your territory customer base in order to strengthen relationships and ensure business development is achieved.

About You
  • You're a strong and experienced leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring your team to grow and succeed.
  • You're motivated by hitting or exceeding targets and you always ensure there's a culture of high performance and sales delivery within your team.
  • You'll have a long history of sales roles behind you – sales is your passion, and you love to build and maintain customer relationships, have strong negotiating and influencing skills, not to mention exemplary communication skills – written and verbal.
  • You're strategic as well as operational, with the ability to demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.
  • You make decisions based on data and trends and you have solid commercial acumen to ensure sales growth and profitability is achieved.
