The Opportunity
This is a once-in-a-career opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to be part of the pioneering licensed team that will drive the growth of Suntory Oceania. The successful candidate will build a high-performing team to support the delivery and growth of the Suntory Oceania licensed division in Central North Island.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of high-performing territory managers.
- Ensure consistent execution of all metrics, including call compliance and coverage, distribution, display execution, and NPD launches.
- Actively develop new business opportunities while continuing to grow the existing customer base.
- Prepare and implement sales and marketing programs, such as promotional activity and new product launch strategies.
- Ensure the team is compliant with Suntory standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and developing a high-performing field sales team, ideally within the licensed or FMCG environments.
- A gemba mindset, with a deep understanding of customers' needs and the wider market to ensure consistency in remaining competitive.
- A hands-on leader who thrives spending time in trade coaching the team and pitching in when needed.
- Proven experience building a new customer base and fostering existing relationships.
- Ability to build and leverage relationships both internally and externally.
