We cover all activities that contribute to reducing the likelihood that harmful pests and diseases will arrive at our border. This includes supporting the assurances for our plant produce exported overseas.

About the Job

This role provides an opportunity to apply your technical expertise in plant protection and risk management alongside your knowledge of stakeholder engagement and project management.

You will bring your plant, forestry or biological sciences degree (or related discipline) or work experience operating in a regulatory environment. You will also be able to demonstrate the practical application of:

  • Managing competing priorities in the work plan
  • Providing technical information for bilateral discussions
  • Knowing/understanding biological and crop production systems
  • Problem solving and a 'can do' attitude
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and relationship skills.
