We are seeking talented individuals to join our team of experienced Artificial Breeding (AB) technicians. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping dairy farmers achieve their breeding goals.
Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) has been training AB technicians for over 70 years, and we take pride in providing comprehensive training to ensure the success of our trainees. Our two-week training course covers all aspects of AB techniques, and upon completion, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in this role.
As an AB technician, your responsibilities will include assisting experienced technicians, completing national unit standards, and working independently as a qualified technician. We value strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for animal welfare.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- The right to work in New Zealand
- An affinity with animals
- Good communication skills
- A connection or interest in the dairy sector
