About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mental Health Clinician (registered nurse or allied health professional) as part of the Waiariki Mana Ake Programme in the Whakatane area. This role involves delivering early intervention health and wellbeing guidance, support and service within Kaupapa Maori Kura.

The Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for forming part of a culturally responsive workforce focused on building whakawhanaungatanga and relationships with tamariki and whanau. The role will involve working effectively in a team and providing mechanisms for tamariki and whanau input.

About You

  • A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all actions, including an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Phenomenal relationship skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A full driver's license.
  • Fluency in Te Reo is required.
