About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Specialist with expertise in General Adult care to join our community-based team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide compassionate support and guidance to individuals in need.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in psychiatric skills, specifically in a community setting. A flexible operating model allows for collaboration with various teams, fostering a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and developing personalized treatment plans. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a busy role with diverse general psychiatry cases.

About You
To excel in this position, you should have:

  • Broad experience in General Adult Mental Health
  • Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (or eligibility)
  • Patient teaching skills (Rotorua is a teaching hospital)
