Role Summary
The Early Intervention Health and Wellbeing Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-informed wellbeing programs and interventions within Primary and Intermediate Schools and Kaupapa Māori Kura. This role is part of the Waiariki Mana Ake Programme, which aims to make a positive difference in the lives of tamariki and their whānau.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-informed wellbeing programs and interventions for tamariki and whānau.
- Work collaboratively with education and healthcare sectors to deliver wellbeing services and support.
- Form relationships with tamariki, whānau, and school communities to promote wellbeing and address emerging needs.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of culturally responsive wellbeing support informed by tamariki and families/whānau voice.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with community, tamariki, and whānau.
- Registration in Nursing, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or related fields.
- Fluency in Te Reo (desired) if working with Kaupapa Māori Kura.
- Commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all actions.
- Ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role.
