Job Description
We are seeking a passionate health professional to provide operational support to strengthen organisational capability to achieve pae ora (healthy futures) for Maori. This role involves collaborating with senior advisors to deliver high-quality, specialised hauora Maori, Te Tiriti, and equity advice and solutions. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes that align with the Ministry's priorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships
- Experience in working effectively as part of a team
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, prioritise and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Knowledge and understanding of central government, ministry and ministerial settings, and hauora Maori
- Knowledge of Te Ao Maori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Understanding of equity and addressing differences in population health outcomes
