About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive Oncology Team at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Lakes. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist nursing care, case management, and expertise in both direct care delivery and support for a defined patient group/area of specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to evidence-based practices and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, incorporating individualized approaches and prioritizing patient-centered care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, utilizing data-driven insights to inform practice changes and enhance patient experiences.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience in Oncology, preferably with a focus on senior nursing roles.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years postgraduate experience, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex healthcare environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
  • A relevant Master's degree or working towards one, showcasing your commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate.
