**About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes. As a Cancer Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and day patient services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. You will work closely with our supportive team of oncologists, registrars, and cancer nurse specialists to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

**Eligibility Criteria

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Specialist registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize a heavy clinical workload
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Team approach to work and a collaborative working relationship with management
  • A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
  • Understanding of implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
  • A valid NZ driver's license and ability to drive to peripheral oncology clinics
